Rigging Supervisor

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Scaffolder to join the team at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom for the upcoming project.
This role will involve working 10:45-hour shifts on a 10/4 shift pattern, with start date to be confirmed.
The position is paid under ECSA agreements, with lodge and travel paid where applicable. Pay rate: £33.23 basic/h
*Possible opportunity to work on a non-working day (Friday and Monday) at OT rates
*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*
Key Deliverables:
- Ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
- Examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
- Study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
- Determine sequence and method of required operations.
- Dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
- Repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools.
- fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery.
- Test plant or machinery for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments.
- Carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling and greasing, according to schedule.
- Perform all of these tasks in relation to the erection and set-up of lifting equipment and general works carried out.
- Operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manner.
- Install or reposition plant or machinery.
- Modify standard machinery for special purposes.
- Adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment including slings, chains, other grappling equipment, jib, derrick, ropes or other hoisting equipment.
- Use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements
Key Requirements:
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
- Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3
- Proven Supervisory Experience
- Additional quals for supervision include either IOSH, SMSTS or LATS
- Ensure that the work is carried out in the most productive and cost-effective manner
- Ensure site / plant priorities are addressed in a timely manner
- Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental Performance and Industrial Relations
- Ensure good 360-degree communications with trade teams
- Ensure performance and competency issues are highlighted / addressed
- Assist with the application of the disciplinary process as required
- Ensure development issues are highlighted
- Ensure individual pro-activity within team members
- Generate and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement within team members
- Supervise team members in an effective and professional manner
- Ensure adherence to company / site procedures, work processes, drawings / specifications and work order

- As a Piping Supervisor, you will be responsible overseeing the repair and service of various types of high and/or low-pressure piping systems for installation
