Junior Regional HSE Advisor - Ellesmere Port (supporting operations across the Northwest Region)
Altrad are currently looking to recruit a Junior Regional HSE Advisor to support operations across the Northwest region, based from Ellesmere Port.
Reporting to the Regional HSEQ Manager, the Junior Regional HSE Advisor will support the delivery of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities across operational sites. The successful candidate will receive structured training, mentoring and development, enabling them to build the knowledge, skills and experience required to progress within Altrad's HSE team.
Key Responsibilities

Support the onboarding process for new employees, including assisting with company inductions and Drug & Alcohol (D&A) screening.

Assist with monitoring daily operational activities to ensure compliance with Altrad's Integrated Management System, customer requirements and relevant legislation.

Provide day-to-day HSE support to operational teams under the guidance of experienced HSE professionals.

Assist with the development and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

Support Site Management and Operational Teams with HSE administration and compliance activities across multiple locations.

Participate in site inspections, audits and safety tours, recording findings and monitoring actions through to completion.

Help promote a positive safety culture by maintaining a visible presence on site and engaging positively with employees.

Support incident investigations and the completion of associated documentation where required.

Assist in identifying training requirements and support the delivery of HSE awareness sessions.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share ideas to enhance HSE performance.

Maintain accurate HSE records and assist with reporting activities.

Travel across the Northwest region to support operational sites as required.
Key Requirements

NEBOSH National General Certificate is essential.

A genuine passion for developing a career in Health, Safety & the Environment

Previous experience in an industrial, construction, engineering, manufacturing or operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Northwest region.

Working towards, or willing to work towards, professional membership with IOSH or another recognised health and safety body.
