  • About The Role

  • Electrician – Aberdeen

    Responsible for all electrical plant and equipment repairs in accordance with company procedures. To support in the overall delivery of the Group’s business objectives, whilst implementing departmental procedures in line with Company standards.

    Characterization. This role requires interaction with internal colleagues of various levels, external parties and clients within the offshore industry.

    Key Deliverables:

    Servicing. Maintenance & Testing

    • General plant & equipment repairs and servicing, in accordance with procedures and manufacturers guidelines.
    • Responsible for the management and maintenance of electrical stores, accuracy of stock levels and completion of routine audits on a quarterly basis.
    • Assist with PUWER & LOLER compliance and ensuring that all is in accordance to applicable legislation.
    • Responsible for the function testing of all 3rd Party Electrical Plant & Equipment prior to mobilisation.
    • Assist with ensuring that accurate inspection records are maintained.
    • Assist with the compilation of check sheets, to facilitate stores manifesting.

    People

    • Develop others skills and experience.

    Recording

    • Responsible for ensuring that accurate maintenance records are maintained.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all plant & equipment is function tested and fully operational prior to dispatch.
    • Responsible for the compilation of certification packs including operators instructions, and ensuring that all are valid.
    • Results: To ensure comprehensive records are maintained which meet with company objectives.

    Skills / Education

    Essential

    • GCSE, Higher education or experience commensurate with the role and have demonstrated an appropriate level of technical competence.

    • Forklift
    • Environmental Awareness
    • Product Specific Training
    • ATEX Training

    Experience

    Essential

    • Experience in a similar role.

    Desirable

    • Previous experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry.
    • Knowledge of range of services Altrad does and can provide to the client.

    Additional Requirements

    • Offshore travel as required
