Role details:
Weekly Working Hours & OT
Mon to Thursday 06:30-17:00. 40 min break.
O/T at x1.225 first 9,5 hours worked , x 1,4 after 9,5 hours worked
*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure that the work is carried out in the most productive and cost-effective manner
- Ensure site / plant priorities are addressed in a timely manner
- Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental Performance and Industrial Relations
- Ensure good 360-degree communications with trade teams
- Ensure performance and competency issues are highlighted / addressed
- Assist with the application of the disciplinary process as required
- Ensure development issues are highlighted
- Ensure individual pro-activity within team members
- Generate and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement within team members
- Ensure adherence to company / site procedures, work processes, drawings / specifications and work order requirements
- Ensure compliance to appropriate BS and EN standards
- Support company / site initiatives as required
- To ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
- To examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
- To study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
- To determine sequence and method of required operations.
- To dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
- Competent installation of ductwork and in line equipment /components in line with industry standards and scope of work
- Installation of bracketry, ductwork and in line equipment;
- Set out works using drawings / instructions from supervision / engineers;
- Testing and commissioning of ductwork and in line equipment as required.
Key Requirements:
- • NVQ / SVQ Level 2 in Heating and Ventilating
- • BOHS Certificates in any of the following:
• P600 - Methods for testing the performance of local exhaust ventilation systems
• P601 - Thorough examination and testing of local exhaust ventilation systems
• P602 - Basic Design Principles of local exhaust ventilation systems
• P603 - Control of hazardous substances - personal protective equipment
• P604 - Performance Evaluation, Commissioning and management of local exhaust ventilation systems
