    Contract Type: Permanent
    Start Date: TBC
    Security Clearance: BPSS
    Salary: Competitive

     Role Details

Based at the Hinkley Point C new build project, this hybrid role requires up to 4 days per week on site. Suitable for Senior Project Managers, experienced Project Managers, or equivalent, you will work within a mechanically biased construction delivery team.

This is a client-facing role requiring strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to safety. You will bring experience in multi-discipline projects within regulated environments (ideally nuclear), alongside contractor management expertise. Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of CDM regulations and project management frameworks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver contract or package scope safely, on time, and within budget, ensuring compliance with business and technical requirements. Monitor progress against milestones and report to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify, manage, and resolve risks and issues; maintain programme budgets and escalate to Project Director where required.
    • Coordinate contract administration activities (with Commercial Manager support), including variations, claims, technical queries, and instructions via CEMAR package.
    • Manage contract change, including scope definition, justification, and implementation in line with commercial governance and NEC requirements.
    • Develop and maintain Level 4 schedules (with Planning support) aligned with overall site project plan.
    • Maintain effective stakeholder communication and ensure delivery of project strategies.
    • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles for reporting.
    • Embed continuous improvement, ensuring lessons learned and knowledge capture are standard practice.

    Key Requirements

    • Proven track record delivering complex projects across the full lifecycle (bid, construction, commissioning) in highly regulated environments (nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical).
    • Degree and Chartered status (or equivalent experience) in engineering, construction, project management or related discipline.
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM BoK, PMP) and management of plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
    • Demonstrated capability in project, financial, and change management, with proficiency in estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools.
    • Experience managing cost, risk, schedule, procurement, and change, with strong EVM capability.
    • Strong commercial awareness, including contract management (NEC or FIDIC) and financial control.
    • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
    • Understanding of nuclear quality requirements and assurance processes.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and organisational skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
